United States wins Gold in Women’s 4×100m Relay

Team United States won the gold medal in the Women’s 4×100m Relay event of Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Friday, August 19.

Team USA consisting of Tianna Bartoletta, Allyson Felix, English Gardner and Tori Bowie won the gold medal finishing the race first with a time of 41.01 seconds.

Team Jamaica consisting of Christania Williams, Elaine Thompson, Veronica Campbell-Brown and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce finished second with a time of 41.36 seconds to win the silver medal in the event. A gold medal would have been a treble jusst like the Men’s team did under leadership of Usain Bolt.

Team Great Britain consisting of Asha Philip, Desiree Henry, Dina Asher-Smith and Daryll Neita won the bronze medal in the event finishing the race third with a time of 41.77 seconds.
