Tina Trstenjak of Slovenia won the gold medal in Women’s 63 kg category Judo event of Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

It is Slovenia’s first medal at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

In the gold medal match, Tina Trstenjak defeated Clarisse Agbegnenou of France to become her country’s second Olympic champion in judo. She defeated Clarisse Agbegnenou by ippon, less than two minutes into the final.

After loosing the final match, Clarisse Agbegnenou of France had to settle for the Silver Medal.

Israel’s Yarden Gerbi and Anicka van Emden of the Netherlands won bronze medals defeating Miku Tashiro of Japan and Mariana Silva of Brazil in their respective bronze medal matches.
