Tianna Bartoletta of United States won the gold medal in the Women’s Long Jump event of Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Wednesday, August 17 at the Olympic Stadium.
Tianna Bartoletta won the gold medal with a personal best jump of 7.17 meters to beat her compatriot Brittney Reese who won the silver medal with a jump of 7.15 meters.

Serbia’s Ivana Španović won the silver medal with a jump of 7.08 meters and set a new national record with her performance.
This is second Olympic gold won by Tianna Bartoletta after winning gold in London Olympics in 2012 in the 4×100 m relay.
