Team United States won yet another swimming Olympic Gold medal – this time it is in the Men’s 4 × 200m Freestyle Relay Swimming event of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Team USA consisting of Conor Dwyer, Townley Haas, Ryan Lochte and Michael Phelps won the gold medal with a time of 7:00.66.
Team Great Britain comprising of Stephen Milne, Duncan Scott, Daniel Wallace and James Guy won the silver medal setting a new national record with a time of 7:03.13.
Team Japan comprising of Kosuke Hagino, Naito Ehara, Yuki Kobori and Takeshi Matsuda came in third with a time of 7:03.50 to win the Bronze medal.
America hasn’t lost the relay in an Olympics since 2000, with Michael Phelps been a member of all four teams, dating back to the Athens games.
The gold was Michael Phelps second of the night and 21st in his career.
