Switzerland wins Gold in Men’s Lightweight Coxless Four

Team of Rowers from Switzerland won the gold medal in the Men’s Coxless Lightweight Four Rowing event of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Switzerland wins Gold in Men’s Lightweight Coxless Four

It is Switzerland’s first Rowing gold of Rio 2016 as the Men’s Coxless Lightweight Four – Lucas Tramèr, Simon Schürch, Simon Niepmann and Mario Gyr battled to victory with a time of 6:20.51.

Danish quartetJacob Barsøe, Jacob Larsen, Kasper Winther Jørgensen and Morten Jørgensen won the silver medal finishing second with a time of 6:21.97.

French team of Franck Solforosi, Thomas Baroukh, Guillaume Raineau and Thibault Colard won the bronze medal with a time of 6:22.85, finishing third.

Fourth place went to the Italian foursome, with the New Zealand quartet in fifth and the Greek team in sixth.
