Swimming at the 2016 Summer Olympics

The Swimming events of the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics will be held at the Olympic Aquatics Stadium from 6 to 13 August 2016.

The open-water marathon will be held on 15 and 16 August 2016 in Fort Copacabana.

In the Swimming event, swimmers must complete a set distance inside the pool, in some cases using a specific swimming style, in the shortest possible time.
