South Africa at the 2016 Summer Paralympics

South Africa is the southernmost sovereign state in Africa. The capital of this country is Pretoria.

South Africa has been taking part in the Summer Paralympics since 1964.

South Africa will once again compete at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7 to 18 September 2016.

So far, South Africa has participated in 10 Summer Paralympics Games, and has won 110 Gold, 88 Silver and 82 Bronze medals.
