Ryan Murphy of USA wins Gold in Men’s 200m Backstroke Swimming

Ryan Murphy of United States on Thursday won the gold medal in the Men’s 200m Backstroke Swimming event of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

The 21-year-old swimmer won the men’s 200m backstroke with a time of 1:53.62, three nights after winning gold in the 100m backstroke.

Australia’s Mitch Larkin won the silver medal with a time of 1:53.96 while Russia’s Evgeny Rylov won the bronze medal coming in third with a time of 1:53.97.

Once again American has shown their dominance in the Men’s 200m Backstroke Swimming event and it is the sixth consecutive Games an American has won gold in the event.
