Canadian Gymnast Rosie MacLennan won the gold medal in Women’s Trampoline Gymnastics event of Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Friday at the Arena Olímpica do Rio.
Rosie MacLennan won the gold medal with a total score of 56.465. She is now the first Canadian summer athlete to successfully defend an individual Olympic title.
She had won the gold in same event at London Olympics in 2012 by really pushing the limits on the trampoline. However this time around she had a safer approach.
Great Britain’s Bryony Page won silver medal with overall score of 56.040 points.
Reigning world champion Li Dan of China followed with a score of 55.885, taking bronze medal.
