Roman Vlasov of Russia wins Gold in Men’s Greco-Roman 75 kg Wrestling

Russian wrestler Roman Vlasov won the gold medal in the Men’s Greco-Roman 75 kg Wrestling event of Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Sunday.

The 25-year old, Roman Vlasov defeated Denmark’s Mark Madsen 3 – 1, to successfully defend his Olympic title. He won Russia’s 9th Gold medal of Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Roman Vlasov is also the reigning world champion.

Denmark’s Mark Madsen had to settle for the silver medal.

South Korea’s Kim Hyeon-Woo and Iranian Saeid Abdevali won the bronze medals defeating their respective opponents – Božo Starčević of Croatia and Péter Bácsi Hungary in the bronze medal matches.
