Ri Se-gwang of North Korea won the gold medal in the Men’s Vault Gymnastic event of Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Monday.
Ri Se-gwang won the gold medal with a remarkable 15.691 score after both his attempts carried the highest difficulty ratings and had the best of execution.
Russia’s Denis Ablyazin won the silver medal finishing second with a score of 15.516.
This is his third medal of Rio 2016 having earlier won bronze in the men’s rings final and silver in the team-all around event.
Kenzō Shirai of Japan won the bronze medal. Shirai’s first attempt was nearly impeccable with a three-and-a-half twist and he got a score of 15.833. His second attempt earned him a 15.066 for an average of 15.449.
