Oh Hye-ri of South Korea wins Gold in Women’s 67 kg Taekwondo

Oh Hye-Ri of South Korea won the gold medal in the Women’s 67 kg Taekwondo event of Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Friday, August 19.

In a closely fought match, Oh Hye-Ri defeated Haby Niaré of France 13-12 to win the gold medal.

Haby Niaré of France had to settle for the silver medal in the event loosing out in the final match.

The bronze medals of the event were won by Ivory Coast’s Ruth Gbagbi and Turkey’s Nur Tatar who defeated Farida Azizova of Azerbaijan and Chuang Chia-chia of Chinese Taipei in their respective bronze medal matches.
