Niccolò Campriani of Italy wins Gold in Men’s 50m Rifle Three Positions

Italian shooter Niccolò Campriani won the gold medal in the Men’s 50m Rifle Three Positions Shooting event of Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Sunday.

Defending Olympic Champion, Campriani beat Russia’s Sergey Kamenskiy with a score of 458.8 by a narrow margin of 0.3 to win the gold medal and successfull defend the Olympic title he won 4 years ago.

This is Niccolò Campriani’s second gold medal of Rio 2016 Olympic Games, having earlier won the gold in 10 m air rifle shooting event.

Russia’s Sergey Kamenskiy had to settle for silver medal with a final score of 458.5.

Alexis Raynaud of France won the bronze medal in the event with a score of 435.6
