Niccolò Campriani of Italy won the gold medal in Men’s 10 m Air Rifle Shooting event of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Niccolò Campriani won the gold with a total score of 206.1 while Serihy Kulish of Ukraine 204.6 with a poor final shot which widened what had been a razor-thin gap between the two.
In the process, Niccolò Campriani set a new Olympic record in the final round beating the previous record of 201.6 set by China’s Qian Xuechao set in Munich, Germany this year in May.
Russia’s Vladimir Maslennikov, 21, took bronze medal on his Olympic debut with a score of 184.2.
India’s Abhinav Bindra finished fourth with a score of 163.8 after losing a shoot-off with Serihy Kulish after the pair exited the seventh round tied.
