Max Whitlock of Great Britain wins Gold in Men’s Pommel Horse

British Gymnast Max Whitlock won the gold medal in the Men’s Pommel Horse Gymnastics event of Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Sunday.

Max Whitlock won the gold medal with an overall score of 15.966 to beat his countrymen Louis Smith who had to settle for silver medal with an overall score of 15.833.

Max Whitlock had won the bronze medal in the same event at London Olympics in 2012.

Cyril Tommasone of France won the bronze medal with a socre of 15.700.

This is second gold medal won by Max Whitlock in day. He earlier won Britain’s first-ever Olympic gymnastics gold with victory in the men’s floor.

Britain have now move up to 13 gold medals in Rio, taking their overall tally to 35.
