Matthew Centrowitz of United States won the gold medal in the Men’s 1500m race of Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Saturday, August 20 at the Olympic Stadium.

Matthew Centrowitz finished the 1500m race first with a time of 3:50.00 to become the first U.S. athlete to win an Olympic 1500m gold medal since 1908.

Taoufik Makhloufi of Algeria finished second in the race with a time of 3:50.11 to win the silver medal.

Nick Willis of New Zealand won the bronze medal in the event finishing third with a time of 3:50.24.
