Kohei Uchimura of Japan won the Gold medal in the Men’s Artistic All-around Gymnastics event of Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
With this gold, Kohei Uchimura became the first gymnast in 44 years to win back-to-back Olympic all around titles.
But this win was not easy, it was a win by a very very narow margin as it was just 0.099 of a point that seperated Kohei Uchimura of Japan from Ukraine’s Oleg Verniaiev.
Ukraine’s Oleg Verniaiev won the silver medal while Great Britain’s Max Whitlock secured a bronze medal with a overall score of 90.641 points.
Kohei Uchimura was not in a gold winning position till the very last, but in the heart-stopping final horizontal bar routine he scored 15.800 to clinch the gold by a very narow margin.
Kohei Uchimura has won the gold in London Olympics in 2012 and previously won silver in Beijing Olympics in 2008.
