Katinka Hosszú of Hungary won the gold medal in the Women’s 200m Individual Medley Swimming event of Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Tuesday.
Katinka Hosszú won the Gold medal with a time of 2:06.68, setting a new Olympic record breaking the previous Olympic record of 2:07.57 set by Ye Shiwen of China at London Olympics in 2012.
Great Britain’s Siobhan-Marie O’Connor came in second with a time of 2:06.88 to set a new national record and win the silver medal.
Maya DiRado of United States won the bronze medal with a time of 2:08.79.
This was Katinka Hosszú’s third Olympic Gold medal of Rio 2016 Olympic Games, winning 100 m backstroke, 200 m medley and 400 m medley events.
