Josip Glasnović of Croatia wins Gold in Men’s Trap Shooting Event

Croatian shooter Josip Glasnović won the gold medal in the Men’s trap event of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Josip Glasnovic defeated Italy’s Giovanni Pellielo in a sudden death shootout with a score of 4 – 3 after both the shooters finished with 13 out of 15 in the finals.

In the sudden death shootout, Pellielo missed and Glasnovic followed up with a hit to win his first Olympic medal.

In the bronze medal match, Great Britain’s Edward Ling defeated Czech Republic’s David Kostelecky by four shots.

This is the second consecutive gold medal for Croatia in men’s trap, as Giovanni Cernogoraz won in London. Giovanni Cernogoraz finished ninth in qualifying and didn’t make it to the semifinal.
