German Gymnast Fabian Hambüchen won the gold medal in the Men’s Horizontal Bar Gymnastics event of Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Tuesday, August 17.
Fabian Hambüchen won the gold medal with a score of 15.766. He was the first to go through his routine and he set such a high mark which nobody could come near to.
Danell Leyva of United States, the last competitor to perform, took the silver medal with a score of 15.500.
Nile Wilson of Great Britain won the bronze medal with a score of 15.466.
Another American Sam Mikulak, who was in top three positions with a score of 15.400, slipped to fourth position after Danell Leyva’s routine.
This is the third Olympic medal won by Fabian Hambüchen after having previously won the bronze in Beijing Olympics in 2008 and Silver in London Olympics in 2012.
