Estelle Mossely of France won the gold medal in the Women’s Lightweight Boxing event of Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Friday, August 19.

Estelle Mossely defeated China’s Yin Junhua 2 – 1 to win first ever Olympic medal for France in Women’s Boxing event of Olympic Games.

Estelle Mossely was a top seeded fighter in the lightweight tournament, receiving a bye into quarterfinals, where she defeated Italy’s Irma Testa.

China’s Yin Junhua won the silver medal in the event.

Bronze medals of the event were won by semi-finalists – Finland’s Mira Potkonen and Russia’s Anastasia Belyakova.
