Russian wrestler Davit Chakvetadze won the gold medal in the Men’s Greco-Roman 85 kg Wrestling event of Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Monday.

Davit Chakvetadze defeated the world No. 1, Zhan Beleniuk of Ukraine to claim his first Olympic title, defeating him by a 9 – 2 score.

Zhan Beleniuk of Ukraine won the silver medal in the event, his first Olympic medal.

Bronze medals for the event were won by Javid Hamzatau of Belarus and Germany’s Denis Kudla who defeated Bulgaria’s Nikolay Bayryakov and Hungary’s Viktor Lőrincz in their respective bronze medal matches.
