Chen Aisen of China wins Gold in Men’s 10m Platform Diving

Chen Aisen of China won the gold medal in the Men’s 10m Platform Diving event of Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Saturday, August 21 at the Maria Lenk Aquatic Center in Olympic Park.

Chen Aisen won the gold medal with a score of 585.30 points after 6 dives well ahead of others to win the gold medal.

Mexico’s Germán Sánchez won the silver medal in the event being the next best with 532.70 points, more than 52 points below the leader.

David Boudia of United States won the bronze medal with a total of 525.25 points.

China has off late dominated the diving events of Olympic Games. This time also the same thing happened. China have won 7 of the Rio’s 8 diving gold medals.

London 2012 silver medallist Qiu Bo finished the event in sixth place despite scoring a perfect 10 from all six judges on his third dive, after low scores of 47.25 and 47.50 on his second and fifth attempts knocked him out of the running for a podium spot.
