Colombia’s Caterine Ibarguen won the gold medal in the Women’s Triple Jump event of Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Sunday.
Caterine Ibarguen won the gold medal with a jump of 15.17m (49 feet, 9 ¼ inches) in her fourth attempt.
The silver medal winner at London Olympics in 2012, Caterine Ibarguen also won the world championship titles in 2013 and 2015.
Venezuela’s Yulimar Rojas won the silver medal with a jump of 14.98m (49-1¾).
Kazakhstan’s Olga Rypakova, the London 2012 Olympic Champion won the bronze medal with her best mark being 14.74m.
America’s Keturah Orji finished fourth to achieve a new national record with a mark of 14.74m (48-3¼).
