Aliya Mustafina of Russia won the gold medal in the Women’s Uneven Bars Gymnastics event of Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Sunday.
Aliya Mustafina scored 15.900 for her display, leaving Madison Kocian of United States, who got 15.833 points from the judges, with silver medal.
Germany’s Sophie Scheder won the bronze medal finishing third with a score of 15.566 points.
It’s the second Olympic gold for Mustafina, who also triumphed in the uneven bars at the London Games in 2012, and her third medal of Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
After Mustafina’s success, Russia now has 8 gold, 11 silver and 9 bronze medals, sitting fourth in the overall medals table.
